Mini Retro Review: Wild Hogs (2007) #badmovies

Wild Hogs
2007
Comedy

Directed by the same person who gave us the terrible Old Dogs with John Travolta and Robin Williams, as well as Van Wilder & equally inferior Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip, whilst I do like my dumb, low-brow farce comedies, two things that they must have is comedy and humour that makes me laugh and that I care for the characters. 4 middle-aged blokes, of the Hell's Angel's type, head out on the open road with their motorbikes and encountering different characters along the way. It is Easy Rider meets City Slickers - only this film is lamer. As such, much like with Old Dogs, the male characters in this film are terribly written and yet, this film is laden with homophobic jokes and references. Despite the established names on the bill (one wonders what on earth William H. Macy & Ray Liotta are doing here), Wild Hogs operates more like a TV sitcom with little charm, and with it bad slapstick, bad stereotypes and bad humour. & given the cast, I expected better from them, and from this script but nada. It was not good and boring as hell.

Is it worth seeing?

Hardly
