Mini Retro Review: Karate Cop (1991) #badmovies

Karate Cop
1991
Action Martial Arts

In Karate Cop, Robert Marchini as John Travis wields a kendo stick & police cap and beats the tar out of the baddies, it's similar to Mad Max and Jean-Claude Van Damme's 1989 hit, Cyborg set in the post-apocalyptic world - only with bad acting, not very convincing performances that are stilted in nature & a bland plot. I didn't know who Marchini was but I did read he was beaten by Chuck Norris in a tournament finals of 1964. The martial arts are adequate for a low-budget flick, but otherwise, this wasn't impressive. The film was mostly dull whenever there wasn't an action scene, there is not enough action, which was slow and took forever to come by, the editing is not good and it's not entertaining to sit through. The main villain looks like TV chef, Guy Fieri if he wore eyeliner & was on drugs or something. You really have to see it to believe how bad this is.

Is it worth watching
