Erotic Thriller
Dharma and Greg's Jenna Elfman is woefully and inadequately cast as the femme fatale and so-called villainess in this terrible and dull made- for- TV Lifetime movie, minus the tension, and is inspired by true events, not to be confused with the Beyonce and Idris Elba version. A woman is on trial after a one- night stand turns into an affair between herself and a surgeon, with him denying the whole thing by insisting he never slept with her. It was written by Matthew Tabak (Auggie Rose) and directed by John Badham (who gave us notable cinematic offerings Short Circuit, The Assassin, Stakeout, Saturday Night Fever and the not-so-notable, Bird On A Wire, The Hard Way with Michael J. Fox & James Woods). For a director who helmed numerous efforts of the 1980s and 1990s, it still reeks of a lack of inspiration and it feels all too uninspiring and bland, which is the norm for many of these cheap TV movies. Plus, it put me to sleep. Unlike the title, I wasn't obsessed with this one.
